Magnesium Flakes
What is Magnesium?
Magnesium is important because the number one mineral deficiency in our culture is a magnesium deficiency, and that usually gets worse when someone starts cleansing. Magnesium is also highly alkaline and opens up the elimination pathways. So we need enough magnesium to get through the cleansing process.
We cannot live without adequate magnesium in our bodies. Magnesium is a vital mineral crucial to healthy nerve and muscle function, including the most important muscle of them all - the heart. In humans, magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body and a co-factor in over 300 important enzymatic reactions. It is also important because the number one mineral deficiency is a magnesium deficiency.
Magnesium is said to have a calming effect on the nervous system, to relax all the muscles in the body and to aid in promoting sound and restorative sleep. It is also highly alkaline and opens up the elimination pathways (so we need enough magnesium to get us through the cleansing process.).
The flakes dissolve readily in warm water bath or footbath. Great if you are depleted in magnesium, recovering from an injury or illness, or having trouble sleeping.
Magnesium Bath Flakes dissolve readily into warm water and contain over 95% Magnesium Chloride along with many other beneficial trace elements.
Pour Magnesium Bath Flakes in a warm bath (or 1/4 to 1/2 cup in a footbath). Soak for at least 20 - 30 minutes. Please note: always store magnesium flakes in an airtight container as they will turn to liquid if exposed to humid air for any length of time.

- Levels of magnesium may decrease as we age, particularly if we have developed digestive problems or chronic symptoms that affect our ability to absorb magnesium through diet alone.
- Magnesium has to work double-time during periods of stress to return the nervous system to a relaxed state. If the body's stores of magnesium fall too low, the nerves start to lose control over muscle activity - contributing to muscle cramps, nervous tension, and poor sleep.

- Magnesium baths are a relaxing, yet highly effective. If you have a magnesium deficiency, and are not absorbing magnesium supplements via your gut, then absorbing it transdermally is the solution.
- The Nigari flakes are sourced from a naturally occurring salt lake 3500m high in the mountins bordering Tibet. The raw nigari is then filtered using the ion exchange dialysis process - whereby only magnesium, calcium and potassium molecules are allowed to pass.
